ACE 55 VF, France. A low-growing, early, and highly productive tomato variety that has rightfully been popular among gardeners for many years. The plants are quite large and sprawling, with many stems spreading out like a fan, forming a dense and strong crown. Each stem bears numerous bright, beautiful, and firm fruits without spots or cracks.

These characteristics make the variety attractive for growing both in home gardens and on an industrial scale. The fruits are versatile: thanks to their taste and optimal size, they are excellent for fresh consumption, salads, and canning. Additionally, the tomatoes tolerate long-distance transportation very well.

We have been updating and improving this variety for over 10 years, which confirms its reliability and stability. The name “ACE 55 VF” indicates that this is the French variation of the American “ACE” variety. The seeds were obtained directly from France with all necessary official documents under this name.

TOMATO FEATURES:

This variety rightfully receives top marks for yield! In open ground, the plant grows up to about 0.6 meters tall. A special value of this variety is its disease resistance — it served as a source material for breeding programs fighting verticillium and fusarium wilts in tomatoes at universities in North Carolina.

The variety was stabilized at the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station, at the Cherokee breeding station, by crossing the “Walter” and “Ace 55 VF” varieties. It was officially introduced in 1982 and since then has gained recognition for its traits. Fruits in each cluster weigh from 60 to 130 grams.

Seeds are sold in zip-lock bags without printed labels. Tomatoes come with 15–20 seeds, low-seed varieties – 5–10 seeds. Minimum order is 10 varieties (the number of packets per variety also counts). Price for one pack: 1,5 USD.

  • the approximate date of purchase (month and year);

  • how exactly the variety differs.

Please note: if the mix-up is due to the variety's instability or natural segregation (especially with rare blue or variegated types), we cannot influence that. These are the results of the breeders’ work, and such cases can occur.

If the error is on our part, we will gladly offer a replacement or refund for the specific variety. Replacements are available within 6 months from the date of purchase.
