AMETHYST CREAM CHERRY. Variety by Brad Gates. This tall-growing plant looks incredibly striking! Fruits have a stunning coloration — creamy with purple (brown) streaks near the stem. The flavor is excellent and very sweet. For a larger yield, grow in 3–4 stems; if space allows, it's better not to prune the side shoots at all.
An early cream-yellow cherry variety with slight blue (anthocyanin) shading on the shoulders. In open ground, the plant reaches 1.6 m. Clusters hold 7–8 fruits weighing around 10 g each. The plant is covered with fruit and highly productive, bearing until frost. Fruit shape is round, and the anthocyanin expression depends on sun exposure.
In partial shade, the anthocyanin was barely visible. Taste: very sweet and juicy. It’s the kind of sweetness that’s subtle, not overwhelming, but makes you want to grab another. Recommended even for children, especially those prone to allergies — this variety contains minimal allergenic compounds.
