BLUE FAIRY, BLUE FEU (FIRE BLUE). A novelty from Tom Wagner — yet another unique tomato variety! The fruits are round-shaped with an unusual yellow-blue coloration, formed in medium clusters of 10 or more. Each tomato weighs between 15 and 40 grams. The tomatoes are very sweet, juicy, dense, and aesthetically pleasing — perfect both for fresh consumption and decorative assortments.
The plants are indeterminate, growing up to 140-160 cm tall. The variety delights with stable yields and the visual appeal of the fruits. For best growing results, at least three treatments are recommended:
-
fungicides — for disease protection,
-
insecticides — against pests,
-
growth stimulants — to enhance resistance and productivity.
ORIGIN AND NAME
The seeds came to us from Western Europe under the name Bleu Feu, which translates from French as “Fire Blue.” However, since the author of the variety is American (Tom Wagner), the more accurate name might be Blue Fairy. Both variants — Blue Feu and Blue Fairy — can be found online, so the final name remains under discussion.
