BUTTERFLY. A very old variety — in our selection it has been around for about 20 years. Back then it was known as "Batterfly", but we later discovered its original name — Butterfly. Tall-growing, up to 2.0 meters, and extremely high-yielding. Charming garlands of dozens of pink plum-shaped tomatoes weighing 30–40 grams. An excellent variety for canning. A pickling variety with complex clusters. Top score for sweetness!

It bears some resemblance to the well-known multi-flowered variety Chio-Chio-San. The fruits are pink-raspberry colored, shaped like plums, with 30–50 fruits per cluster, weighing 30–40 grams each. Dense and crack-resistant. The bush is abundantly covered with large clusters. The taste is excellent — sweet, meaty, and juicy. Overall yield is very high, with 4–5 kg of sweet gourmet fruit per plant. Highly recommended!

PLUM TOMATO VARIETIES

Plum tomatoes are varieties with elongated fruits resembling plums. They are often used for sauces, canning, and fresh consumption. Here are some popular varieties of plum tomatoes:

  • De Barao — one of the most well-known plum tomato varieties. It has dense flesh and is excellent for canning. There are several subtypes: red, pink, golden, black, and giant.

  • Roma — a classic Italian variety widely used for sauces and ketchup. The fruits are meaty and contain few seeds.

  • Rio Grande — a mid-season variety resistant to diseases. Medium-sized fruits with firm skins, ideal for canning and processing.

  • Chio-Chio-San — a tall variety with small, dense, plum-shaped fruits. Sweet fruits, good for fresh eating and preserving.

  • Pepper-shaped — a variety with unusual fruit shape resembling peppers. Sweet-tasting and perfect for pickling.

  • Liana — an early-ripening variety known for its disease resistance and heavy fruiting. Well-suited for open field cultivation.

Seeds are sold in zip-lock bags without printed labels. Tomatoes come with 15–20 seeds, low-seed varieties – 5–10 seeds. Minimum order is 10 varieties (the number of packets per variety also counts). Price for one pack: 1,5 USD.

Varietal mix-up: unfortunately, in some cases, the seeds you receive may contain a mix-up — when a different variety is sent instead of the one you ordered. If this happens, please let us know right away. To help us resolve the issue, provide the following details:

  • the name of the variety you ordered and which one you received instead;

  • the approximate date of purchase (month and year);

  • how exactly the variety differs.

Please note: if the mix-up is due to the variety's instability or natural segregation (especially with rare blue or variegated types), we cannot influence that. These are the results of the breeders’ work, and such cases can occur.

If the error is on our part, we will gladly offer a replacement or refund for the specific variety. Replacements are available within 6 months from the date of purchase.
