DWARF TASMANIAN CHOCOLATE, Australia. An early and high-yielding tomato variety with a distinctive chocolate-colored skin. The plant is of a determinate, medium height type, growing up to 1 meter in open ground. It has strong, thick stems. This variety offers stable yields and adapts well to various growing conditions.
The fruits are large, slightly flattened, weighing 300–350 g, and grow in clusters of 3–4. Their rich brick-brown color with green shoulders is a hallmark of the variety. The flesh is juicy, dense, and visually appealing when cut. The flavor is pronouncedly sweet with a hint of acidity — soft and well-balanced. The skin is thin, making the fruits unsuitable for long storage.
The plant grows up to 1 meter tall, is sturdy, and requires no pruning or intensive care. This variety is part of a group of nine "dwarf" tomatoes developed in 2011. It was created by crossing New Big Dwarf and Paul Robeson, combining compact plant size with large fruits and rich taste. Best enjoyed fresh or processed into juice or ketchup.
