GRAPEFRUIT TOMATO. An early, fantastic gift – a wonderful bicolor! A true work of art created by nature itself. Over the years of collecting tomatoes, we’ve grown hundreds of bicolors, yet every time we see such vibrant colors, it's breathtaking! Whimsical blends of shades outside, with bright red streaks inside. And the taste is just as impressive: juicy, melt-in-your-mouth, buttery when cut, and sweet!

The plant reaches 1.8 meters, strong and productive. Each truss carries 3–4 fruits weighing 450–500 grams. The fruit shape ranges from flattened to heart-shaped. Mid-season, tall, high-yielding, and disease-resistant. The fruits are very large, round-flat with smooth shoulders, and have beautiful pink-orange bicolor skin.

They’re meaty, multi-chambered, marbled, juicy, and delicious – a solid 5 out of 5 in flavor, with a pleasant aroma. There's another tomato with the same name in the USA, but it differs in traits. Our variety comes from France. Top marks for beauty and vibrant flesh! Excellent sweetness and taste!

HOW TO GROW:

Bicolor tomatoes feature two-tone coloring, typically mixing yellow, orange, or pink with red or green. Their cultivation is similar to regular tomatoes but includes a few key points:

  • Choose a variety: Select one that suits your flavor and size preferences.

  • Prepare the soil: Use organic fertilizers, ensure good drainage, and full sun.

  • Planting: Start seeds indoors or transplant seedlings after frost ends.

  • Support: Stake or cage plants, especially for large fruits.

  • Care: Water regularly, fertilize with tomato nutrients as recommended.

  • Pruning: Remove suckers to focus plant energy on fruit production.

  • Protection: Monitor for pests and diseases and take timely action.

  • Harvest: Pick when fruits are ripe and display characteristic coloring.

the most delicious tomato! The flavor is perfect - just the right balance of sweetness and acidity, with a rich, well-rounded, almost dessert-like taste. All the tomatoes are big and beautiful, like they were hand-picked. Great for salads or even as a gift, a truly versatile variety!

Grapefruit is an indeterminate variety growing in the greenhouse, currently about 240 cm tall. It was one of the first to set fruit and has been producing almost continuously. I can’t really estimate how much fruit is on the plant right now 😮 but it’s a lot! Haven’t tasted it yet, but it should ripen in a few days. If the flavor lives up to expectations, this tomato will definitely earn a permanent spot in my garden.

Grew it outdoors in 2023. The seeds were a gift from a friend. In the open ground, the plant reached just over 1.5 meters tall. I tried to train it into two stems, but that didn’t work out, ended up with three, maybe four or even five. It’s a productive, mid-season variety. The fruits were very pretty, but maybe the season wasn’t right for bicolors, or maybe it’s just not my kind of tomato, either way, the 'Grapefruit' didn’t have much sweetness this year. Not exactly awful, but definitely not amazing either

In the greenhouse, it reached 160 cm in height. The yield wasn’t huge, just 8 fruits, but they were all roughly the same weight, and the ones higher up might even be larger. The first one weighed 360 grams. I liked the taste. It’s already earned a spot on my planting list for next year.

I really love this variety too. To me, it's the tastiest one. It has a subtle hint of tartness that makes it impossible to confuse with any other kind. This year, I planted a few bushes.

Very productive. I’m honestly surprised! I’ll probably get around 5 kg from a single plant, which is a lot for me. The plant is very vigorous. I started training it in two stems, but now it’s grown into four. It’s a late variety with large, juicy fruits that have a bit of tanginess. Big thanks for the seeds!

  • the name of the variety you ordered and which one you received instead;

  • the approximate date of purchase (month and year);

  • how exactly the variety differs.

Please note: if the mix-up is due to the variety's instability or natural segregation (especially with rare blue or variegated types), we cannot influence that. These are the results of the breeders’ work, and such cases can occur.

If the error is on our part, we will gladly offer a replacement or refund for the specific variety. Replacements are available within 6 months from the date of purchase.
