GRAPEFRUIT TOMATO. An early, fantastic gift – a wonderful bicolor! A true work of art created by nature itself. Over the years of collecting tomatoes, we’ve grown hundreds of bicolors, yet every time we see such vibrant colors, it's breathtaking! Whimsical blends of shades outside, with bright red streaks inside. And the taste is just as impressive: juicy, melt-in-your-mouth, buttery when cut, and sweet!
The plant reaches 1.8 meters, strong and productive. Each truss carries 3–4 fruits weighing 450–500 grams. The fruit shape ranges from flattened to heart-shaped. Mid-season, tall, high-yielding, and disease-resistant. The fruits are very large, round-flat with smooth shoulders, and have beautiful pink-orange bicolor skin.
They’re meaty, multi-chambered, marbled, juicy, and delicious – a solid 5 out of 5 in flavor, with a pleasant aroma. There's another tomato with the same name in the USA, but it differs in traits. Our variety comes from France. Top marks for beauty and vibrant flesh! Excellent sweetness and taste!
HOW TO GROW:
Bicolor tomatoes feature two-tone coloring, typically mixing yellow, orange, or pink with red or green. Their cultivation is similar to regular tomatoes but includes a few key points:
-
Choose a variety: Select one that suits your flavor and size preferences.
-
Prepare the soil: Use organic fertilizers, ensure good drainage, and full sun.
-
Planting: Start seeds indoors or transplant seedlings after frost ends.
-
Support: Stake or cage plants, especially for large fruits.
-
Care: Water regularly, fertilize with tomato nutrients as recommended.
-
Pruning: Remove suckers to focus plant energy on fruit production.
-
Protection: Monitor for pests and diseases and take timely action.
-
Harvest: Pick when fruits are ripe and display characteristic coloring.
