MARIANNA'S PEACE + CHEROKEE PURPLE. A super variety! Tall, mid-season, and exceptionally productive tomato. It was developed in 2010 by Reinhard Kraft as a successful cross between two legendary heirlooms — Marianna's Peace and Cherokee Purple. In open ground, plants reach about 1.8 meters in height, with vigorous growth and good foliage, requiring staking and pruning.
This variety impresses not only with its productivity but also with the stunning beauty of its fruits. The tomatoes are large, weighing from 250 to 600 grams, dark pink to raspberry in color with a soft purple sheen. The surface near the stem is slightly ribbed; the fruits are smooth and uniform, making them visually attractive. The flesh is dense, meaty, juicy, with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The taste is rich, deep, and truly gourmet.
These fruits are ideal for fresh consumption, salads, and culinary creations such as juices, sauces, and pastes. Thanks to their firm texture, tomatoes slice well, don’t leak, and retain a marketable appearance for a long time. The variety fruits reliably even in changeable weather and is resistant to most tomato diseases — a truly excellent choice. It’s the kind of tomato you’re bound to fall in love with from the very first harvest.
