MRS. BOT'S ITALIAN GIANT. A tall, mid-season, and high-yielding variety with vigorous growth and potato-type leaves. It forms strong, well-leaved bushes that can reach up to 1.8 meters in open ground and over 2 meters in greenhouses. Requires staking and reliable support due to very large and heavy fruits. A true delicacy for lovers of meaty, sweet tomatoes of large size. Suitable for versatile use.
The fruits are true giants: flat-round in shape, with beautiful slightly wavy, curved ribbed shoulders. The average diameter is about 13 cm, and the weight of one tomato can reach 600-800 g or more under ideal conditions. The surface is glossy, the skin is thin, and the color is deep red. The fruits are uniform in shape and look very appetizing. The flesh is the main pride of this variety. Dense, meaty, juicy, practically seedless and without cavities, it is solid “meat” when cut open.
Thanks to a high sugar content, the flavor of the tomatoes is well balanced: sweet, with a slight noble acidity and a rich tomato aroma. Fully ripe fruits are especially delicious — they literally melt in your mouth. This variety is ideal for fresh consumption, especially in salads, as well as for making premium quality juice, sauces, and ketchups. Due to their size, they are not very suitable for whole-fruit canning, but their taste and aroma make them one of the best for home cooking.
