MY DANCING GREEN FINGERS. A very young but already stable variety created by Belgian collector and gardener Bart Praet. At the Tomatofest festival in 2021, held at the Nos Pilifs farm in Brussels, this variety proudly took second place among the best tomatoes. It is a fresh new creation from Bart Praet. The plants of this variety are slender, with numerous stems and simple leaves.
The clusters have a complex fan-shaped structure, and the fruits are elongated, thin, with a pointed tip, resembling little fingers. Their transparent green skin gives them a special charm. The tomato shape is very beautiful and unusual, and the taste stands out with sweet-honey and soft fruity notes.
VARIETY CHARACTERISTICS:
The flesh is green. The variety is not very resistant to late blight; when growing, it should be planted sparsely in well-ventilated areas to protect from morning dew. In our opinion, the bush is 1.5 meters tall, wide, sprawling yet graceful, with medium strength. You can plant two in one hole, but then you’ll need to prepare a support, as the number of clusters and fruits on each far exceeds the delicacy of the stems and bush.
The clusters are simply huge, countless — it feels like they’re clusters with leaves, not a bush with fruits! Moreover, the higher the cluster, the more fruitful it is. If the first had about 10–15 fruits each weighing 20–23 grams, which already seemed a lot, then on the second or third tier, there are over 40 fruits per cluster! A truly unique sight.
FRUITS “MY DANCING GREEN FINGERS”:
The fruits themselves are very beautiful, glowing from within. At full ripeness, they become slightly mustard-colored and, unfortunately, may crack due to high sugar content. And most importantly — the taste! Unreal sweetness if allowed to ripen! Simply a spicy fruit, not a tomato! This variety has gained huge popularity over the past year!
If you want to know more about it, I recommend reaching out to other gardeners or catalogs. They might have more information about this variety. This will help you get tips on growing these tomatoes.
Top marks for beauty! Excellent for yield! Five stars for taste and shape! Highly recommended for everyone, including allergy sufferers!
