PERITO ITALIAN. An old Italian heirloom, cultivated since the early 20th century and cherished for over a hundred years for its stability, productivity, and excellent flavor. A mid-season, tall variety that develops strong plants reaching up to 1.8 m in height. The bushes are vigorous, well-foliated, and provide an extended fruiting period.
Fruits are red, elongated-pyriform, weighing from 100 to 200 g. The flesh is dense, very meaty, almost seedless, with a delicate, mild flavor without pronounced acidity. Perfect both for fresh consumption and for processing — ideal for sauces, pastes, and lecho. The flavor is a true classic tomato taste, rich and well-balanced, deservedly rated 5 out of 5 on the tasting scale.
