PIEDMONT PEAR. A mid-season, tall, high-yielding tomato variety with regular leaf type. In open ground, plants reach about 1.7–1.8 meters in height, forming strong and vigorous bushes with good foliage density, providing excellent ventilation and light exposure for the fruits. The fruits of this variety have a characteristic pear shape and weigh between 60 and 80 grams, occasionally reaching up to 90 grams. Their shape and size make them convenient for fresh consumption and preservation.
As the fruits ripen, their color gradually changes from rich yellow to bright orange with a beautiful red blush, giving them an attractive appearance. The tomato flesh is bi-colored — predominantly orange with red hues, has a tender texture and a pronounced sweet taste rated 5+ points on the tasting scale. Thanks to its rich aroma and flavor qualities, this variety won second prize at the Haverskerque Tomato Festival in France in 2018.
Seeds of this variety were re-purchased from a reliable American collector, ensuring high quality and compliance with the declared characteristics. This tomato is ideal for those who appreciate a combination of excellent taste, high yield, and decorative fruit appeal.
