POMME D'OR DE SAINT-JEAN-DE-BEAUREGARD (GOLDEN APPLE OF SAINT-JEAN FROM BEAUREGARD). A new variety bred by Bruno Fournier (France), developed through hybridization of the well-known Pink Berkeley Tie Die and Indigo Rose varieties in 2017. This is a mid-season tomato with a medium growth habit, showing stable and high yields across various climatic conditions. Plants reach about 1.3 m in open ground, forming strong and robust bushes with good foliage density. The leaves and fruits of this variety are richly colored with anthocyanins — a natural pigment with antioxidant properties that not only gives the tomatoes decorative appeal but also increases their health benefits.
The fruits have a dense structure and striking appearance: their skin combines the classic tomato color with purple and red anthocyanin spots. The flesh is thick and intensely red-purple, highlighting the uniqueness and exclusivity of the variety. The flavor is bright and harmonious, with a pleasant sweet and tangy note that is well expressed both fresh and in cooked dishes. The average fruit weight is about 150 g — an optimal size for versatile use: from fresh salads to canning and cooking. The fruits have good shelf life and marketability, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation. Ideal for those who appreciate high-quality yields, original appearance, and rich taste.
