TENNESSEE HEIRLOOM. A tall, very productive variety with potato leaf foliage. This is an old family heirloom obtained from Philip Meadows, whose family had been growing it in Middle Tennessee since the 1890s. These tomatoes are considered a true classic and have repeatedly won tasting competitions thanks to their exceptional flavor. Plant height in open ground is about 1.7-1.8 meters. The plants form strong bushes that require staking and pruning. Productivity is consistently high, with fruits setting reliably and abundantly.
The tomatoes are large, meaty, with an intense tomato aroma and firm yet tender flesh. Fruit weight ranges from medium to large, 200-500 g. The flavor is considered exemplary for lovers of classic tomatoes: deep, rich, bright tomato taste with noticeable acidity that is perfectly balanced by sweetness. When sprinkled with salt, the taste becomes even richer and more harmonious. The variety is especially valued for its combination of outstanding flavor and high productivity (both rated 5 out of 5). Perfect for home gardens, fresh eating, salads, and juice making.
