TIGER PAW. The history of this variety is remarkable: it was bred and grown by a farmer from Tennessee (USA), and later passed on through collector Reinhart Kraft (Neukirchen, Germany) to Gary Ibsen for the famous TomatoFest collection. A medium-tall, mid-season, and highly productive variety that immediately attracts attention with its unusual coloration and fruit shape. In open ground, the plants reach about 1.2 m in height, forming strong, neat bushes with good foliage. The fruits are slightly ribbed, flat-round, with thin skin, weighing between 100 and 150 g.
Their base color is pale cream-yellow, with pink “rays” at the top that create a translucent effect. Sometimes the fruits resemble a cat’s paw print due to their unique shape and light segmentation. The flesh is dense, juicy, and very tasty. The flavor profile combines bright fruity richness with pronounced sweetness, enhanced by exotic tropical notes and a subtle citrus hint. Thanks to this harmony, the variety can rightfully be considered one of the “best tasting.” A very ornamental and rare tomato, valued both in cooking and in tomato collectors’ gardens.
