WEST VIRGINIA SWEET MEAT. A medium-tall, high-yield, large-fruited tomato variety – a true family heirloom of the Amish, carefully passed down from generation to generation. The plant forms strong, compact bushes that reach 1-1.2 meters in height in open ground conditions. The fruits of this variety are true large pink beefsteaks, with firm yet tender skin that keeps their shape stylishly without cracking. The tomato flesh is meaty and juicy, with a pleasant texture, incredibly sweet and richly aromatic, making them among the best-tasting family heirloom varieties.
The fruits are relatively low in seeds, which makes them convenient for culinary use and preserving. In our conditions, the fruits are large, ranging from 350 to 700 g, while each tomato retains its characteristic taste and aroma. This variety is ideal for those who appreciate the combination of large, meaty fruits with high yields and excellent flavor. These tomatoes look beautiful on the table, whether eaten fresh or used for salads, sauces, canning, and other culinary masterpieces. According to some foreign sources, individual fruits of this variety can reach an impressive weight of up to 1300 g.
