In my conditions, this variety turned out to be a vegetative indeterminate, mid-season, with strong regular foliage. I grew it with two stems. Quite a few fruits reached up to 500 grams, while the rest were smaller, so the clusters definitely need support. The tomatoes are fairly juicy, which means they don’t store for long, but they’re excellent in salads. I’d say the flavor is perfectly balanced. One of my favorites in this challenging season.

I grew this tomato variety this year, along with a similar one Striped Chocolate. Both were grown outdoors and set fruit well. This one started ripening a bit later than Striped Chocolate. I also had similar types this season, like Golden Stripes and Giant Brown Flesh. But The Thing girls, was probably the best variety of them all!

I was absolutely blown away by the taste of these tomatoes! Usually, varieties with this kind of color turn out sour in my conditions, but when I tasted this one, I was genuinely surprised. It’s truly sweet, just the way I like it! It’s an indeterminate variety and very dependent on warmth. During this awful summer for the central region, it dropped its fruit sets on the lower clusters, but once the August heat arrived, it started setting fruit well. So I’ll definitely grow it again, but in a greenhouse.

The tomatoes are meaty and very beautiful. Mine were quite firm, though more modest in size—around 250 grams (+/-). The plant is strong, with large, vigorous leaves.

I grew this variety again, it's become a permanent favorite in my collection. Honestly, I don’t see any downsides. This year I also tried it outdoors in my neighbor’s garden bed, without any cover, planted in early June. It handled two heatwaves beautifully and set all its clusters around one meter tall, producing lovely striped, plump tomatoes. After that, I pinched the top. By the end of August (which was dry and warm), about half of the fruits had ripened right on the plant.

The only odd thing about this variety is its name. Otherwise, it’s a solid, high-yielding, large-fruited tomato. The color pattern is similar to the well-known Striped Chocolate - dark brown with stripes. Very attractive fruits.

The plant is vigorous, with large dark leaves, growing over 2 meters tall in the greenhouse. Some fruits reached up to 400 grams.

The flavor is classic tomato, sweet and tangy, nothing extravagant. It’s a productive variety. When planning your plantings, you can choose between this and Striped Chocolate, they’re similar, though they differ in plant structure and taste.

I liked this variety. The fruit color is similar to the well-known Striped Chocolate, dark brown with stripes. Very beautiful! The plant is vigorous, with large dark leaves, and grew over 2 meters tall in the greenhouse. Some fruits reached up to 400 grams. The yield was excellent. The flavor is classic tomato, balanced sweet and tangy, nothing fancy, just a good, old-fashioned taste.
