GIRL GIRL'S WEIRD THING. A unique variety developed by Canadian breeder Jessica Hughes as a natural mutation of the famous Green Zebra tomato. A beautiful mid-season heirloom for fresh eating. Seeds were obtained from Jean-Pierre Tejero of Pessac, France. Plants grow up to 1.8 m (6 ft) tall in open ground. Each truss produces 4–5 fruits weighing 500–650 g (18–23 oz). Exceptionally productive. Fruits are flattened, disc-shaped, with a truly spectacular appearance. Their rich chocolate-brown background is densely covered with dramatic blood-red streaks radiating across the surface.
As the fruits fully ripen, they develop a beautiful brown color with green vertical striping. The flavor is rich, complex, and sweet with excellent balance and an intense tomato taste. Color intensity varies depending on sunlight exposure. Inside, the flesh is deep purple-red, aromatic, juicy, and meaty, with a balanced sweet-and-tangy flavor. Highly recommended for collectors and lovers of unique tomato varieties. A true old-fashioned tomato with the flavor of childhood!
