PRUDEN’S PURPLE. An early, large beefsteak tomato with a deep purple hue. The plant grows up to 1.5 m outdoors, with sturdy thick stems and large leaves. Yield is high: each cluster bears 3–5 fruits weighing 600–650 g—large, heavy, and fragrant. Use: fresh salads, sandwiches, sauces, and winter preserves.
The shape is flat-round with pronounced ribs at the base. When cut open, the flesh is juicy and very meaty, with minimal seed cavities—solid “meat.” The flesh is firm yet melts in your mouth, sweet with a slight tartness. Recommended for all who appreciate vivid, juicy tomatoes.

PURPLE TOMATO VARIETIES:
Purple tomatoes are rich in anthocyanins—natural antioxidants that give them their distinctive color. These compounds fight free radicals, boost immunity, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. They also contain vitamins A, C, and K, potassium, and fiber. They benefit vision, improve skin health, and support bone strength. Regular consumption may help reduce inflammation in the body.
In taste, purple tomatoes are more intense and slightly sweeter than red varieties. They’re ideal for fresh salads, appetizers, and sauces, retaining their health benefits even after cooking. They’re popular with vegetarians and health enthusiasts. Gardeners also prize purple tomatoes for their exotic color and disease resistance, making them both ornamental and nutritious.
