ALASKA. An early-ripening variety of Russian breeding, entered in the State Register of Breeding Achievements in 2002 and approved for cultivation in all regions. Recommended for personal subsidiary plots and small farms. Also suitable for container growing. The plant is determinate, compact, 50-60 cm tall (sometimes up to 70 cm), self-limiting growth. The bush is neat, with an attractive appearance, and has medium-sized, light green leaves.
The inflorescence is simple: the first forms above the 8th-9th leaf, subsequent ones after every 1-2 leaves. It is characterized by a uniform yield of early harvest, high fruit set even under unfavorable conditions, and disease resistance. The fruits weigh about 100 g, are uniform, dense, firm, and of universal purpose. They form an abundant scattering of tomatoes on the bush. The taste is pleasant and balanced. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and whole-fruit canning.
