AMERICAN PYRAMID (AMERICKE PIRAMIDNI), Hungary. This is a rare and impressive tomato variety, recognized for its outstanding taste and striking appearance. An heirloom selection from Hungary. The glossy, blemish-free skin and individual fruit weight ranging from 300 to 500 g. contribute to its market appeal. It is known for its tall growth (up to 1.8 m. in open ground), vigorous foliage, and high yield. Well-suited for salads and processing.
The plants produce large, deep carmine-pink beefsteak-type fruits, often irregular in shape with distinct ribbing at the shoulders. The fruits have dense, meaty flesh with very few seed chambers, making them ideal for fresh consumption and sauce preparation. The taste is rich and sweet, with a deep tomato aroma and a refined aftertaste. These qualities make this tomato popular among collectors.
