BLUE PINEAPPLE LINE (ANANAS BLEUE LIGNEE), Belgium. A recent variety, still unstable, originating from Belgium. An unusual specimen appeared on the Blue Pineapple plantation of José Antoine, Ambiorix. Fruits weigh between 150 and 250 grams, round and slightly flattened at the bottom, with subtly rounded shoulders. The red-yellow-orange hues of the epidermis are bordered with blue; shoulders are indigo.
The flesh is orange-yellow with pink and red specks. The cameo skin is red-yellow-orange with a blue undertone; shoulders are indigo. The flesh is orange-yellow with pink and red flecks, very juicy. Sweet, fruity flavor reminiscent of Ananas Bleue. Vigorous plant with slender stems, regular foliage, and indeterminate growth. Very good yield, especially in the second half of the season. Great variability in fruit sizes.
