ANAWINE, France. Mid-season, tall, high-yielding variety. Fruits are very dense, beautiful, slightly ribbed. Color: orange with a red blush. Fleshy, multi-chambered, juicy, very tasty, and pleasantly aromatic. A very productive variety. 5 out of 5 in all categories. Plant height: 1.5 meters; fruit weight: 200-350 grams. A round beefsteak with plump or even curved shoulders. Yellow epidermis covered with red blush when ripe. Excellent pineapple flavor.
Firm and juicy yellow flesh with red marbling. Plant with moderate growth, small stems, sparse regular foliage, indeterminate growth type. Good productivity in the second half of the season. The seed quantity is very limited, as only one seedling sprouted from the seeds we received. The seeds were purchased in France. The variety is likely a result of accidental crossing between 'Red Brandywine' and 'Pineapple', bred by Didier Meunier, France.
