BEHIND THE WHEEL. A relatively new tomato variety from the Depeche Mode line, bred by American breeder Bill Yoder. We advise paying attention to these new tomatoes. The variety is mid-season, well-adapted for cultivation in open ground. The plants are powerful, with thick sturdy stems, forming a stable bush about 1.5 m tall. The foliage is of the potato-leaf type, large, emphasizing the plant's decorative appeal and good vitality. The fruits are large, weighing 140-300 g, round in shape with slight, neat ribbing.
The coloring is very effective: on a warm yellow background, pink stripes appear radiating from the center of the fruit, making each tomato truly festive. The fruit size is stable, they fill out well and fully ripen on the bush, retaining an attractive appearance. The flesh is juicy, dense, with a harmonious fruity taste. The taste is sweet, soft, with a light refreshing acidity, excellently balanced. The tomatoes are perfect for fresh consumption, salads, and beautiful sliced presentations. This variety is valued for its large fruit size, expressive coloring, and pleasant, memorable taste.
