BESSER. An old German cherry tomato variety, known since the early 19th century. This is a small-fruited, heirloom tomato of family selection, valued for its stable yields and rich flavor. The fruits, weighing up to 30 grams, form in clusters of 8–12. Bright red, dense, and glossy, they offer an intensely sweet flavor and a very pleasant aroma.
The plants are vigorous and indeterminate, meaning they continue to grow and produce fruit throughout the season. The vines are sprawling and require staking or other forms of support. Thanks to their high productivity and outstanding taste, Besser tomatoes are ideal for fresh salads, raw consumption, and for preparing sauces and a variety of dishes.
