BIG GIRL. A very impressive variety that has deservedly become popular among lovers of large-fruited tomatoes. This is a mid-season variety with strong, well-developed plants that can reach around 1.7–2 m in height during the growing season. The plants require support and staking, especially when numerous large fruits begin to develop. The tomatoes have a beautiful red color and an unusual cylindrical, barrel-shaped form with pronounced ribbing. The fruits are large, fleshy, and very heavy — usually reaching up to 700 g, while under favorable conditions, the largest specimens can grow to 1–1.5 kg.
Thanks to their dense, meaty structure, they contain very little excess liquid, making each fruit particularly impressive. The variety has a classic, rich, sweet tomato flavor with almost no noticeable acidity. The flesh is dense, meaty, and pleasant, making these tomatoes especially good for fresh eating, salads, and large juicy slices.
