BIG ZAC MAC COY. A mid-season tall tomato variety with an excellent reputation for yield and flavor. The plant is indeterminate, vigorous, requiring staking and pruning. It is characterized by a stable harvest and large fruit size. The fruits are flat-round in shape, deep red in color, weighing 250-600 g, and are not prone to cracking. The flesh is dense, fleshy, juicy, with a sweet taste and slight acidity, harmonious and rich. Based on its overall characteristics, the variety is rated very highly — both for yield and flavor.
The history of the variety is connected with American Dan MacCoy from Minnesota. Together with his wife Sarah, he grew a truly giant tomato in his greenhouse weighing about 3.8 kg, which became a contender for the world record. Prior to this, the record was held by farmer Gordon Graham from Oklahoma with a fruit weighing about 3.5 kg, recorded back in 1986. The Big Zac Mac Coy variety became known for its ability to produce large, high-quality fruits and is deservedly recommended for cultivation.
