BLACK BEAR. Early-ripening, compact (up to 1 m in open ground) and very productive variety that will delight gardeners with stable yields even under unstable climatic conditions. The plants are compact, do not require complex pruning, and are perfectly suited for open ground and low greenhouses. They have high resistance to common tomato diseases.
Ripening period is between 70 to 80 days. The fruits are large, flat-round in shape, weighing from 180 to 320 grams. Their unique coloring — purple-brown with greenish hues near the stem — makes the variety especially attractive both in markets and salads. The appearance is unusual and memorable, ideal for farm sales and gourmet dishes.
FLESH AND FLAVOR
The flesh is quite juicy, with a bright, rich, and spicy aroma. The flavor stands out with pronounced sweetness, spicy notes, and a hint of acidity, creating a harmonious and complex bouquet. This is one of those varieties that leave a lasting impression and can be called a “season favorite.”
Our team awarded it a well-deserved 5 out of 5 for taste and yield. Ideal for fresh consumption, salads, appetizers, and slicing. Due to its high disease resistance, it requires minimal care, making it a great choice for beginner gardeners.
