BLACK RUSSIAN ROSE. The very first variety of the season with a rich fruity aroma! This is an early and striking tomato with anthocyanin showing on the skin. The seeds were kindly shared by a well-known collector from the Baltics — Valdis Pulins. Without a doubt, one of the most spectacular varieties.
The plant produces massive clusters of raspberry-hued fruits with soft anthocyanin streaks. The fruit shape is flattened; some even resemble a small boat (or slipper). Thanks to their prominent rounded shoulders, the fruits truly resemble a rose blossom. The plant reaches about 1.6 meters in height in open ground.
The bush is sturdy and easily carries clusters of 6–8 tomatoes. The fruits are exceptionally bright and attractive, with no cracking or green shoulders, and they ripen fully. The skin is glossy with a slight matte finish, as seen in photos. But the most important feature — this is the first variety of the season with an intense fruity scent and equally fruity-sweet taste!

The flesh is dense yet tender, with many small seed chambers, and it is incredibly sweet and flavorful! The skin is thin. These tomatoes offer a vivid taste with a hint of sweetness, making them perfect for sauces, salads, and appetizers. The variety also has excellent shelf life.
