BLOOD GULCH. A mid-season variety shaped like a heart. The plant grows up to 1.1 meters in open ground, with medium vigor. Each cluster holds 5–6 fruits weighing 120–130 g; yield is above average. The shape is plum-heart-like, with a green base color covered in red and brown streaks across the fruit, firm to the touch. Inside, the flesh is truly blood-red, very striking: deep, rich red with thick walls and large seed chambers. The flavor is rich, bright, and has a genuine tomato taste.
GREEN TOMATOES
While less popular than red varieties, green tomatoes have their own advantages:
-
Unique flavor: green tomatoes often combine sweetness and tartness with vivid fruity notes, making them attractive to gourmets.
-
Flavor stability in different conditions: unlike many other varieties, green tomatoes are less affected by changes in weather or growing conditions.
-
High disease resistance: many green tomato varieties are more resistant to diseases and pests.
-
Interesting appearance: their unusual coloring stands out on the market or on the table.
-
Long storage: some green varieties can be stored for a long time after harvesting without losing taste or quality.
-
Versatile in cooking: green tomatoes are great for fresh use, as well as for sauces, marinades, jams, and even fried dishes.
-
Suitable for cooler climates: some green varieties tolerate cooler conditions well.
