BLUE BOAR BERRIES, USA. A relatively new variety developed by Brad Gates. Mid-season, indeterminate tomato with plant height around 1.8 m. The bushes are compact, tidy, require minimal pruning, and do not need suckering, making this variety convenient for busy gardeners.
An interesting trait of this variety is its genetic segregation: during cultivation, it produced two color forms — red-blue and yellow-blue fruits. Both variants are identical in taste, shape, and productivity, differing only in color.
FRUITS AND FLAVOR
Fruits are small, weighing 8–15 g, round in shape, and grow in beautiful clusters of 8–12 per bunch. Visually very striking — with rich glossy skin that reflects like a mirror. The color is red with dark blue anthocyanin overlay, giving the tomatoes an exotic and decorative appearance.
The taste is simply delightful: very sweet, with firm yet juicy flesh and a pronounced tomato aroma. Flavor rating: a solid 5 out of 5. Perfect for fresh consumption, garnishing dishes, and culinary presentation.
