BLUE CASTELL-REYNOARD. A proprietary variety bred by the renowned German breeder Reinhard Kraft. A mid-season, consistently high-yielding tomato with a powerful, sturdy bush about 1.2 m tall in open ground. The plant is characterized by good vigor and sets fruit excellently throughout the season. The fruits weigh 130-200 g, are uniform, attractive, and very decorative. Externally, the tomatoes are colored a rich orange with a delicate pink hue and expressive anthocyanin "shoulders," which give the variety its distinctive, exotic appearance.
When cut open, the flesh is yellow-orange with pink iridescence, multi-layered and striking. Taste is one of the main features of this variety. The tomatoes are exceptionally sweet, juicy, with dense, meaty flesh and a rich fruity note. Thanks to its sugar content and harmonious flavor, this variety can rightly be called one of the sweetest of the season. It is excellent both for fresh eating and for beautiful slices and salads, where not only taste but also vibrant, colorful presentation is important.
