BLUE GIANT SWORD YELLOW. A new experimental variety. According to our information, the fruits were initially intended to be red, but already in the second generation, a completely different, truly impressive coloration manifested. The variety proved to be very productive and bore fruit steadily until late autumn, which is especially valuable for lovers of prolonged harvest. Despite its experimental status and possible trait deviations, the tomato turned out to be successful both in appearance and taste. The plants are not tall, about 1.0-1.2 meters, with thickened shoots of a determinate type, sturdy and stable.
The fruits are large, weighing approximately 200-350 grams, yellow in color with a pronounced anthocyanin coating, giving them a spectacular and rare appearance for yellow tomatoes. Two different fruit forms were observed in the collection, both turned out to be interesting and promising, so the variety definitely deserves re-cultivation. The flesh is dense, almost "solid meat," yet remains moderately juicy. There are very few seeds, which is especially valued in salad tomatoes. The taste is rich, sweet, harmonious, without sharp acidity. A variety for those who love experiments, high yield, and large, meaty fruits with unusual coloring.
