BLUE PEAR, Ukraine. A mid-season, high-yield tomato variety. In open ground, plants reach about 1.8 meters in height. The fruits are pear-shaped with a ribbed surface, weighing 100-200 grams, colored red with dark purple spots. The flesh is meaty, juicy, very sweet, and flavorful. The taste is rich and intense. Suitable for fresh consumption as well as for canning. The fruits resemble large blue-red truffles! This variety was developed by Ruslan Dukhov through crossing Bleve P20 and Black Pear varieties. The fruits have a pear shape with distinct ribs near the base and a short stem. A very striking and bright variety!
The coloring is unique: dark purple anthocyanin flows down the fruit’s walls in stripes, while the lower part turns brownish-red at full ripeness. For a good harvest, 3-5 stems can be left, as the bushes are strong and sturdy. This variety is known for its delicate flavor: rich, with honey and spicy notes, meaty and juicy, and very sweet! The flesh is dense, dark red, with pronounced sweetness and excellent taste. We recommend this variety as one of the most impressive in recent years.
