BLUSH, BLUSH TIGER, FLUSHED TIGER, TIGER BLUSH, USA. Bred by Fred Hempel of Artisan Seeds (California) in 2011. Elongated cherry, stretched plum with a small beak, bicolor, striped. The fruits are crispy, with a harmonious, sweet taste and aroma. One of the most beautiful varieties. For its beauty, yield, and taste qualities, the variety received our highest scores. The first fruits began to ripen on July 18. In the hot part of the summer, fruiting did not stop.
The variety is very productive, tasty, and beautiful, with a long fruiting period until frost. The coloration is variegated: longitudinal red strokes spread over a yellow background, almost disappearing at full ripeness. The flesh is yellow; at full ripeness, a bicolor pattern appears, with a red core in the center of the flesh. The yield is high.
Taste — worthy, sweet, juicy, with a fruity aroma, thin walls. Mid-early variety, bush 1.3–1.5 m tall in open ground, with 6 fruits per cluster, weighing 30 g each. Fruit shape — elongated finger-like plums with a sharp tip at the top. Recommended for all lovers of new bright varieties. Excellent for canning.
YELLOW VARIETIES
Yellow tomatoes have a number of interesting properties that distinguish them from red varieties. Here are some of them:
-
Lower acid content: Yellow tomatoes are usually less acidic than red ones, making their taste milder and sweeter. Especially suitable for people with sensitive stomachs.
-
High vitamin A content: Yellow tomatoes contain more provitamin A (carotenoids). They are beneficial for eyesight, skin health, and the immune system.
-
Fewer antioxidants: Yellow tomatoes have less lycopene — a powerful antioxidant found in red varieties. It is important for preventing cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
-
Good for the skin: Thanks to the high content of vitamins and minerals, yellow tomatoes can improve skin condition.
-
Low in calories: Like other tomatoes, yellow varieties are low in calories. This makes them an excellent product for those watching their weight.
-
Variety of flavors: Yellow tomatoes can range in taste from sweet to slightly tangy, making them versatile for salads, sauces, and canning.
