BLUSHING BRIDE. A variety originating from the USA, discovered by David LeMasters from Pennsylvania. Most likely a seed mix-up or an accidental cross. Mid-season, indeterminate, high-yielding, bicolor. Strong plants with regular leaves. Fruits are large, weighing between 250–550 g, beautiful, slightly ribbed, and yellow-pink in color.
The flesh is very meaty, dense, tasty, and bicolored. Very small seed cavities, low seed count. Excellent with salt or in fresh salads. The variety has been revived from old archived lines. A mid-season, very attractive variety. The plant is strong, about 0.7 meters tall when grown outdoors. Shape is round-flattened, sometimes round-heart-shaped.
The main color is orange, overlaid with red stripes and streaks. A classic bicolor – bright and beautiful both outside and inside. Dense and uniform, aromatic inside, with large seed cavities, very juicy, melting, and sweet! A real pleasure to enjoy. A wonderful, delicious variety!
ORANGE VARIETIES
Orange tomatoes have several unique features that distinguish them from other types:
-
High beta-carotene content: Orange tomatoes are rich in beta-carotene, a powerful antioxidant that converts into vitamin A in the body, beneficial for eyesight, skin, and the immune system.
-
Mild flavor: Unlike many red varieties, orange tomatoes have a sweeter, less acidic taste, making them ideal for fresh consumption.
-
Low acidity: Orange tomatoes contain less acid compared to red ones, which may be helpful for people with digestive sensitivity.
-
Immune support: Thanks to their high levels of antioxidants and vitamins, orange tomatoes support a strong immune system.
-
Cardiovascular health: They also contain lycopene (though in smaller amounts than red varieties), which may help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
-
Culinary use: Orange tomatoes are commonly used in fresh salads, appetizers, sauces, and pair well with other vegetables due to their bright color and flavor.
