BOLSHOY KUSH. Mid-season, tall, and very high-yielding variety. In open ground, plants reach about 1.6 meters in height, forming strong, sturdy, and well-foliated bushes that easily withstand a large number of fruit clusters. The foliage is of the classic tomato type, dense and protective, helping to shield the fruits from overheating and sunscald. Fruits are large, firm, and attractive, weighing between 150 and 350 grams. They have a regular, slightly flattened-round shape with a glossy shine.
When fully ripe, they turn a rich, bright red with a beautiful glossy finish. Unripe fruits may show thin green stripes near the stem, which completely disappear as they mature. Occasionally, tiny cracks may appear near the stem end, but they do not affect quality or taste. The flesh is dense, meaty, juicy, and well-balanced in taste. Tasting score is around 4 out of 5, but it should be noted that with such a heavy fruit load, the flavor may sometimes seem less intense.
Highlights. This variety is exceptionally productive — the bushes are literally covered with fruits. At the same time, the plants show excellent resistance to diseases, with no visible signs of infection observed throughout the growing season. Thanks to their firm flesh and attractive appearance, the fruits are well-suited both for fresh consumption and for processing — making juices, sauces, paste, and canning.
