BUNTE PFLAUME (COLORFUL PLUM). A rare variety whose origin is not precisely established, presumably of German origin (translated from German as "colorful plum"). Descriptions of the variety in sources vary, which may indicate variability in form. Mid-season, indeterminate. The plant has a compact or moderate growth habit with regular foliage, producing a stable harvest until frost. Fruits weigh 80-180 g, are round or slightly flattened, with slight ribbing near the stem. The flesh is fleshy and juicy.
The coloration is very striking: on the outside, it is purple-red-green or orange-red with marble iridescence; at full ripeness, there may be transitions of shades from green to purple. In cross-section, the flesh is green-yellow with pink-red or purple veins, marbled, and decorative. The taste is excellent, sweet, well-balanced, with exotic notes. It is recommended to consume the fruits immediately after ripening — if left too long, they quickly overripe and become soft. The variety is valued for its unusual coloration and expressive flavor.
