Carol Chyco's Big Paste Black, USA. Mid-season variety. Strong plants with high yields of beautiful and tasty fruits. Each cluster contains 3-4 fruits, and the bushes are not overly dense with foliage. The fruits are round-flattened, often with ribbing from the stem, meaty, and cherry-colored. They have a rich tomato flavor, sweet with a slight acidity, and are juicy. Thick walls with many seed chambers.
This variety was developed by crossing "Carol Chyco's Big Paste" and "Black Krim," created by Australian breeder Savior Schembri. Large, beefsteak-like fruits weighing from 200 to 750 grams and measuring 8 to 12 cm in diameter, with rounded, ribbed shoulders. Purple-red color with mahogany undertones. Thick, dense flesh with a rich flavor. Excellent for salads and/or sauces.
A large, sprawling plant with abundant regular foliage and indeterminate growth. High productivity from mid-season. Tall and very productive variety. Bushes reach a height of 150-165 cm. Strong, moderately dense bushes produce an excellent harvest. In the season, the first fruits began to ripen between July 19 and 24. The fruits are large, slightly varied in shape with ribbing. Top marks for the beauty and taste of the fruits.
FRUITS OF CAROL CHYCO'S BIG PASTE BLACK
Incredibly tasty, very sweet, meaty fruits of a dark red color. In the cold season of 2020, the variety fully confirmed its best qualities — high yield and excellent flavor. In the extreme conditions of 2021, it once again showed very high productivity.
From the outermost bush in the garden bed, during the last harvest before the frost, 48 fruits were picked, weighing between 180 and 760 grams — at least 10 kg of tomatoes. These fruits produce a beautiful dark red juice.
