CHERRIOTS OF FIRE, USA. This is a 2017 novelty from the famous breeder Tom Wagner. The variety is medium-tall, ultra-early, and very productive — with minimal care you can get a stable and abundant harvest. The plant’s height in open ground reaches about 1.2 m. The fruits are slightly flattened, with a beautiful striped color: bright red with yellow streaks and stripes, which become almost invisible when fully ripe, creating an interesting visual effect.
The average weight of the fruits is up to 30 grams, they grow in clusters and ripen very uniformly, so almost all fruits can be harvested before the first frost. The bushes are compact, not prone to excessive thickening, do not require pruning or complex care — this variety is more suitable for experienced gardeners. It is distinguished by good resistance to diseases and stress. This variety is an excellent choice for fresh eating, decorating salads, and adding an original touch to dishes.
The taste of the fruits remains something of a mystery — because the first tasting was done at the end of the season, when the fruits had fully overripened on the plants and partially lost their fresh flavor profile. However, even then they showed sweetness and a rich aroma, which gives every reason to expect an even brighter taste if the harvest is picked on time.
