CHIANTI ROSE. A stabilized variety from the USA, obtained as a result of an accidental cross between ‘Pink Brandywine’ and an unknown Italian variety. This is an indeterminate, mid-season, very productive tomato variety. The plant forms strong, well-foliaged bushes that can reach up to 1.5 meters tall when grown outdoors. The bushes are not prone to excessive thickening, which makes care and air circulation easier. The foliage is large, potato-leaf type — deep green, giving the plants a decorative look.
The fruits are large, rich pink in color, smooth, meaty, and very juicy. The taste is rich and slightly sweet, with a harmonious balance of sugars and acidity — rated 5 out of 5. Perfect for fresh eating, salads, and producing delicious thick juice. The variety shows excellent fruit setting: as of July 20, 2024, 31 fruits were counted on one bush, formed in 12 clusters. Average fruit weight is between 250 and 350 g.
The fruits ripen evenly and together, ensuring a stable harvest. Like many US varieties, it stands out for its unpretentiousness and good resistance to common tomato diseases. Recommended for growing outdoors and under film covers. This variety is great for home gardens as well as for commercial cultivation for sale.
