According to descriptions, with intensive feeding and pruning, some fruits can reach up to 2 kg. The "Church" series is represented in both red and pink lines in the collection. The fruit characteristics are absolutely identical. The plant is strong, with 3–4 fruits per cluster weighing 400–500 g. High yield.
A mid-season, bright red, large-fruited tomato of flat-round shape, sometimes with slight ribbing at the base. The fruit is perfectly shaped and flawless. When cut, the flesh is fragrant with many small seed chambers. Flavor — rich, sweet, full, balanced, and melts in the mouth! Top score for appearance and taste!
TOMATO HISTORY:
An heirloom variety from the Church family of Hot Spring, Virginia; possibly a descendant of the famous “Charlie’s Mortgage Lifter Radiator.” Large pink fruits, from 500 grams to 1 kilogram. Round, beefsteak type, strongly ribbed at the top, with some fruits reportedly showing a heart-shaped tendency.
Meaty flesh is well filled with small seed cavities containing few seeds and gel. Excellent sweet taste. Vigorous plant with strong development, regular leaf, indeterminate. Production may be late but is more than generous — well worth the wait.
