COPPER RIVER, USA. Variety author – Lynn Brown, California. Mid-season bush, 1.2 meters tall in open ground, strong stems, with 3-4 fruits per cluster, each weighing 250-300 g. The shape is flat-round, sometimes with ribbing at the base of the fruit. This variety is for true gourmets and lovers of honey-sweet tomatoes. Externally, the tomatoes show a whimsical mix of pink, green, burgundy, and yellowish tones.
When cut, the green background reveals a pink core with pink veins. The fruits are multicolored, changing shades as they ripen. At technical maturity, the fruits are fully green; as they reach biological ripeness, the green hue turns into green-bronze with ochre-pink patches and splashes; at full ripeness, they become almost chocolate-colored.
VARIETY CHARACTERISTICS
The fruits can even be eaten when still green (if they have softened) — and they will still be sweet. However, if you pick and cut the fruit at full biological maturity, the beauty of the flesh will amaze you. A very productive and flavorful variety. According to forum reviews, it is considered one of the tastiest. Each color shade adds its own flavor and aroma.
Bright crimson rays radiate from the base across the vivid green background — incredibly beautiful! The taste will make you fall in love: sweet, tender, melt-in-the-mouth, meaty, and very juicy — like a dessert. Seed chambers are small, filled with jelly-like pulp and very few seeds. Top marks for fruity flavor! Top marks for the ultra-bright flesh!
