CRESTA DI FUOCO RED. This line was selected from the Cresta di Fuoco variety by breeder Elena Efremova and has already earned recognition for its stability, plant vigor, and high fruit quality. Although the variety is considered relatively stable, a small probability of trait segregation still remains, which is characteristic of many collector lines. The variety is indeterminate, mid-late season. The plants are tall, reaching about 1.8 m, very vigorous, with dense foliage and strong growth potential. They respond well to shaping and fertilization, showing high and stable yields.
The fruits are large, bright red, heavily ribbed, extraordinarily beautiful and expressive. Fruit weight averages 250-500 g, with some specimens being even larger. The shape is spectacular, collectible, a true "calling card" of the variety. The flesh is dense, meaty, yet juicy and tender. The taste is rich, sweet, harmonious, without excessive acidity, with a rich tomato aroma. The seed chambers are small, with few seeds, making the fruits especially valuable for fresh consumption. The variety is distinguished by high yield and is excellent for salads, slicing, sauces, and thick juice.
