CUBAN BLACK. A tall, productive variety with original fruits of unusual shape and deep dark color. The bushes are powerful, well-leafed, reaching a height of up to 1.5 m, consistently forming a yield throughout the season. The fruits are thin, elongated, slightly uneven, with a beautiful glossy shine. The color is dark crimson, with deep red-burgundy shades, especially expressive at full maturity. The fruit weight varies between 120-200 g. The flesh is dense, meaty, juicy, with excellent rich flavor — sweet, with piquant notes characteristic of dark-fruited varieties.
Tomatoes are excellent for fresh consumption, salads, baking, sauces, and drying. In appearance, the fruits resemble the 'Cuban Pepper-shaped Black' variety and other pepper-shaped dark forms, making the variety particularly interesting for collectors. An important feature: fully ripe fruits easily separate from the stem and may fall when touched, but do not drop from the wind — this allows for precise determination of the optimal harvest time. The variety is valued for its high yield, unusual fruit shape and stable fruiting, as well as for its spectacular appearance.
