DATTERINO NERO (BLACK DATTERINO). An indeterminate tomato variety that produces a fantastically strong, vigorous, and healthy plant with thick, well-branched stems. The foliage is small and does not overcrowd the plant, allowing excellent air circulation and light penetration. Almost every node sets long, compound trusses with many flowers. This variety stands out for its early ripening, incredible productivity, and rich, sweet flavor.
In open ground, the plants grow up to 1.5 meters tall. The fruits are miniature, weighing 10-15 g, with a bright color and dense yet juicy and sweet flesh. Each truss produces 15 to 30 fruits that ripen nearly simultaneously, forming impressive garlands. The tomatoes are crack-resistant, hold their shape well, and maintain excellent flavor even during transport.
For best results, the trusses should be harvested whole with scissors—this makes harvesting easier and enhances the variety’s suitability for market sales. Due to its high ornamental value, attractive appearance, outstanding flavor, and stable yield, this tomato receives top marks across the board. One of the best in its category. Highly recommended for both open field and greenhouse cultivation.
