DE BARAO ROYAL. A variety from the famous De Barao series, valued for its high yield, excellent keeping quality, and exquisite fruit appearance. The variety has proven itself excellent when grown in open ground and greenhouses. The plants are indeterminate, vigorous, tall, reaching up to 1.8 m in height in open ground conditions. The bushes are characterized by good foliage and sturdiness, requiring staking and shaping. Fruiting is prolonged and stable. The clusters are multi-fruited, forming 8-10 neat oval-shaped tomatoes with a distinctive pointed tip.
The average fruit weight is 80-100 g, the size is uniform and marketable. The fruits are dense, beautiful, with excellent flesh consistency, ideally suited for whole-fruit canning. The tomatoes do not crack, store for a long time, tolerate transportation well, and retain their shape after thermal processing. They also perform excellently fresh and in salads.
