DEL GATO, MORUNA DE ANCHURAS. An early, tall, and exceptionally productive tomato variety originating from Villamartín, Cádiz Province, Spain. Intended for open-ground cultivation, where plants can reach up to 1.9 meters in height. It develops vigorous, densely foliated bushes with a well-developed vegetative mass.
The fruits are round, very uniform, and of a rich, bright red color. Average fruit weight ranges from 15 to 20 g. The skin is extremely thin — so much so that it may “pop” when bitten into, a feature prized by gourmets for its freshness and juiciness. The flesh is juicy and aromatic, with a mild flavor and slight acidity that makes the fruit particularly enjoyable fresh.
The clusters are simple or paired, each bearing up to 15 fruits, ensuring abundant and even fruiting throughout the season. This variety is known for its uniform ripening and stable productivity, even in hot and dry summers. Perfect for fresh consumption, salads, and whole-fruit canning.
