TEN FINGERS OF NAPLES (DIX DOIGTS DE NAPLES). Is a tall, mid-season, highly productive tomato variety. Suitable for both open ground and greenhouse cultivation. In open field conditions, plants reach over 1.5 meters in height, require staking and pruning into 1-3 stems. Characterized by uniform and abundant fruiting. Fruits are elongated with a distinctive “nipple” tip, glossy, and deep bright red in color. Visually very appealing and appear larger than they actually are — average fruit weight is around 70 grams.
They are meaty, low-juiced, soft to the touch but with a thick skin resistant to cracking, even under humidity fluctuations. Very sweet, with almost no acidity — perfect for fresh use and whole-fruit canning. The variety is resistant to major nightshade diseases, including late blight when proper cultivation practices are followed. Plants are literally covered with fruit, making the whole bush look like one big tomato garland.
Fruits are easy to harvest, detach easily from the stem, store well, and tolerate transportation. Versatile in use, especially recommended for canning, pickling, drying, and sauce making. Tomatoes do not leak, do not crack, and retain their shape during heat processing. Grows well in various climate zones with sufficient watering and sunlight.
