DURDULIA DE DURDUN. Is a family heirloom tomato variety originating from Romania. It is a tall, indeterminate plant that grows up to 1.8 meters in height. This is a mid-season variety, with the first fruits ripening approximately 110-115 days after germination. The plant develops a strong central stem with abundant foliage. It requires pruning to 1-3 stems and regular staking or support. Suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. Fruits are large, weighing between 200 and 420 grams. They are meaty, with dense yet tender flesh and few seeds. The skin is a deep pink color, and the shape varies from round-flattened to heart-shaped.
The flavor is rich, sweet, and fruity, without any sourness. Thanks to the dense texture, the fruits are crack-resistant and transport well. Use — universal: excellent for fresh eating, salads, juices, sauces, and cooking. They retain their rich flavor even after heat treatment. This variety shows high resistance to common tomato diseases (late blight, cladosporiosis, fusarium wilt) and also tolerates drought well. It performs excellently across different climate zones. Truly impressive in all aspects — from cultivation to taste — and is recommended for both beginner and experienced gardeners.
