DWARF CHOCOLATE CHAMPION. An early and short-statured variety obtained by crossing the Dwarf Champion and Cherokee Chocolate cultivars. The bushes resemble small trees with curly, potato-like leaves. The fruits are firm, rich dark red in color, meaty and juicy, with a delicate purple flesh of creamy texture.
The flesh is purple with a very pleasant texture and excellent taste. The plant is compact, tree-like, with regular curly foliage, and indeterminate growth habit. Fruiting is abundant but occurs in waves — fruits of the same cluster ripen simultaneously, from mid-season until the first frosts.
FLAVOR OF DWARF CHOCOLATE CHAMPION:
The flesh is purple, with a pleasant texture and superb flavor. The plant is compact, tree-like, with even curly leaves and indeterminate growth. The yield is abundant but intermittent, with fruits of one cluster ripening together from mid-season to the first frosts. The taste features subtle smoky notes and a slight acidity that only enhances the rich flavor of this variety.
The bush requires no shaping or pinching and reaches about 1 meter in height in open ground. The stem is strong, with 3-4 fruits per cluster weighing 250-350 grams. Fruits have aromatic purple-chocolate flesh. At the same time, this tomato is notably sweet for an early variety. Very productive! Recommended as one of the sweetest dwarf varieties!
